M&C were appointed as Development Agents by Lochaber Housing Association in 2025, taking over this development from Community Housing Trust midway through construction following a successful tender for Development Services. The development delivered 22 new affordable homes, comprising 18 homes for social rent and 4 New Supply Shared Equity homes.

The properties include:

- 8 × 2B4P semi-detached homes for social rent

- 4 × 2B4P semi-detached homes for New Supply Shared Equity

- 10 × 3B6P semi-detached homes for social rent

M&C's role was to take the development from mid-construction through to completion and handover, providing Development Agent services on behalf of Lochaber Housing Association. Taking on a project already on site required M&C to quickly assess the development, identify key risks and maintain momentum through to completion. A particular focus was placed on navigating potential utility risks, working proactively to minimise the risk of delays and associated rent loss for the Association.

Through effective development management and coordination, M&C supported the successful completion and handover of the homes. The project also marked an important milestone for M&C as the first homes handed over by the company for Lochaber Housing Association. Ten homes were successfully handed over in March 2026, with the remaining 12 homes following in April 2026. The successful completion of the development demonstrates M&C's ability to step into projects already under construction, manage emerging risks and provide continuity and effective oversight through to completion.
